Mana Tama Aoga Niue is a small centre founded and established by Togiatolu Togiamua and the late Vetehemana Inoke Togiamua (originally founded as Matua Mo E Tama Aoga Vagahau Niue). It began as a free play group in 1994 and later became the first Licensed Early Childhood Vahagau Niue Centre in New Zealand in the year 2000. The founders had a vision to create a special place for their children, and heritage. Since then, Mana Tama Aoga Niue formerly known as Matua Mo E Tama Aoga Vagahau Niue has grown and continues to carry on the founder's vision of serving the Mangere Community. It is a family-owned center that has been operating since 1994, providing education, care and support to the community.
We understand it takes a village to raise a child. Within our pacific heritage we understand the importance of heritage, culture + language. Our team are made up of quality educators who are passionate about educating and nurturing all children within our village to learn about their heritage so that they become confident learners of society, and can grow to be a valued part of the wider village of our community.
Tua a mautolu ke fakatuulea e Vagahau Niue mo e tau aga fakamotu ma e tau atuhau moe tau magafaoa katoa.
We believe in fostering a safe, warm, and welcoming environment where the curriculum is inclusive and responsive to the child as a confident learner. We strongly believe Vagahau Niue and Te Whariki are essential components that guide our practices in providing quality education.
Our values are founded on Identity (Tonuhia he Tagata/Tuakiri) to show respect to all people, places and things, Love (Fakaalofa/Aroha) to help every child and their family to be firm in their identity through heritage, cuture and language, and Respect (Fakalilifu/Whakaute) to show love to all people we connect with, in our learning community.
